Following much speculation, we can now confirm that our first look at Chucky’s return to the big screen will land in the next few days! MGM/Orion Pictures has prepared the first trailer for Child’s Play – it’s been sent out to U.S. cinemas (via Deluxe/Technicolor ) with copies of The Prodigy which is released next week, with the trailer required to play alongside all screenings.
This follows the studio teasing a ‘2.8’ ( The Prodigy ‘s U.S. release date – February 8) on a Christmas promotional poster which many fans have been taking as confirmation that the trailer will be released on that date. The studio also tweeted out a viral clip teasing something arriving that day.

We presume that the studio is likely to put it online first before it starts screening in cinemas, so expect it launched any time between now and the 8th! And whatever date it arrives, we’ll be sure to have the trailer here.
The story follows a mother named Karen who gives her son Andy a toy doll for his birthday, unaware of its sinister nature.
Starring Gabriel Bateman, Aubrey Plaza and Brian Tyree Henry, the film is out June 21 in the U.S., with a UK date to be announced.
